I'm trying to recreate a retro poster I recently saw... I think the font used was Cortland JNL (info here: http://www.myfonts.com/fonts/jnlevine/cortland/ )

Does anyone know of a similar font?

Thanks (and remember, class, to always give an apple to the teacher...)...

Khaos

Cortland has been on my list for a while, as well as quite a few other JNL fonts.

I'm a bit ashamed... I started this post really as an attempt to revive the f101 patient which was suffering from a mild panic attack several weeks ago... the Cortland request (I can't really tell you why) was the first thing that popped into my head... I suppose I was on a hunt for a typeface that was used in a Belgium Film Festival Poster (a retro font)... turns out the font they used was free, called Mouse Deco (google)...

I actually possess a fairly large collection of JNL fonts... and as I've discovered here, it seems others do as well...

Thanks for your hunting... I recently tripped into some free fonts that are similar to those from Andinistas... so... (you know)...

I think the patient is off the extinction list and in pretty good health. ;-)

Ha, I was looking for the post of 21 cents of that time and I found this, finally found it, and certainly I like the retro style, I like to label something like "Le Baiser de l'Hotel de Ville , Paris, 1950 "by Robert Doisneau's :D
And of course, I would love to see something similar to An di nis tas...so... (you know)...
:)

I like Cortland too. It has that 1930s look. Love it
